So… WHAT IS KHADI EMPORIUM, REALLY?

Khadi Emporium, established in 1965 in Hindustan Park, Kolkata, is a heritage textile store known for its curated collection of cotton and silk fabrics, sarees, kurtas, panjabis, shirts, and more.

What began as one man’s struggle has grown into a legacy woven through decades. And as the threads of time continue, so will our promise – to serve you with the same passion, purpose, and pride that started it all.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

At Khadi Emporium, our mission is to preserve and celebrate the rich textile traditions of India — each fabric, weave, and pattern a unique art form in itself. We are committed to keeping these crafts alive, supporting the hands that create them, and passing their beauty on
– from one generation of our customers to the next.

WHAT’S IN THE WARDROBE?

From village looms to city shelves – Khadi Emporium brings you authentic, handcrafted fabrics and garments from across India. Our collection includes cotton, silk, cotton-silk blends, and the rare Toshor from eastern India. At the heart of it all is Khadi – the handspun, handwoven fabric once championed by Mahatma Gandhi as a symbol of India’s independence.
We stock sarees, kurtas, shirts, dhotis, bags, and more
– all made from original fabrics sourced directly from the places they’re born. And with probably the largest collection in Kolkata, we offer unmatched quality at prices that no one else can touch.

LET’S TALK FABRIC.
